Australian Superannuation Transfers
Transferring your Australian Superannuation
Legislation regarding private retirement savings portability between Australia and New Zealand was passed by the New Zealand parliament on 25th August 2010. The new superannuation transfer rules will apply when both New Zealand and Australia have enacted the necessary legislation. The Australian Government is expected to enact the legislation during 2011 although no specific date has been confirmed for the rollout of the Trans-Tasman initiative. The New Zealand Government has indicated that transfers from Australia will have to be made into a registered KiwiSaver scheme.
Craigs Investment Partners intends to offer our clients a complimentary Australian Superannuation Transfer Information Service similar to our existing
