After a career as a Lieutenant Commander in the Royal New Zealand Navy, William has been in investment advisory work for over 20 years.
He joined Hendry Hay McIntosh in 1986 and was a Director there for 5 years until 1996, when it was acquired by Merrill Lynch (New Zealand).
He was also a Director of Merrill Lynch (New Zealand) for 5 years until Craigs Investment Partners acquired part of that firm in 2001. He is now an Investment Adviser with Craigs Investment Partners in Auckland and Deputy Chairman of the NZ Markets Disciplinary Tribunal.
