James Schofield

James has just returned from London where he worked at Merrill Lynch for four years in a #1 ranked sector team (pan-European Institutional Investor). Over this time, he covered a total of 24 equities as lead analyst, with a combined market capitalisation of cUS$80bn, and was promoted to Vice President. As part of his coverage James worked on several IPO's, most recently Statoil's US$5bn divestment of its retail network. Prior to working in London, James worked on a number of trans-Tasman transactions and equity offerings whilst working in corporate finance at both UBS and Deloitte in Auckland. James has a BCom / LLB (Hons) from the University of Canterbury.
