In 2004, Craigs Investment Partners and specialist private equity manager, Direct Capital Private Equity, established Pohutukawa - a professionally managed private equity fund – to enable our clients to participate in the New Zealand private equity market.

Pohutukawa seeks to focus on the lower risk segment of the private equity market by investing in a diversified range of established private companies on both sides of the Tasman. By financing expansion and buy-out opportunities in established businesses, Pohutukawa intends to build on the existing investment style and track record of Direct Capital.

Pohutukawa aims to provide investors with superior returns; greater diversification and less portfolio volatility.
