Craigs Investment Partners has established the following subsidiaries in order to meet our clients’ broad range of investing requirements

Custodial Services Limited

Although Custodial Services Limited (Custodial Services) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Craigs Investment Partners, the company has its own board of directors and maintains a fully independent status.  

Custodial Services provides a custodian service to Craigs Investment Partners clients who select the Managed Portfolio Service or Investment Administration Service, as well as a number of clients independent of Craigs Investment Partners.

In its role as custodian, Custodial Services acts as a bare trustee, that is, the company holds investments in trust for the client’s absolute benefit and at their complete disposal. Custodial Services does not “own” any of the securities they hold – even though those securities may be held in Custodial Services' name. The client always remains the beneficial owner of their investments.

All administration of the client’s portfolio is taken care of along with the associated paperwork, and the client receives regular reporting on the activity within their portfolio.

CMT Management Limited

CMT Management Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Craigs Investment Partners, manages Craigs Investment Partners Cash Management Trust Limited - a special purpose company established for accepting on-call and term deposits from clients through the Craigs Investment Partners Cash Management Account. 

Craigs Investment Partners Cash Management Trust Limited commenced trading in 1996 when it accepted New Zealand dollar deposits and made investments with the funds deposited. From July 1999, the company also accepted deposits in specified foreign currencies. Today, the Craigs Investment Partners Cash Management Account is one of the largest in New Zealand with client funds in excess of $600 million.

Crown Guarantee

Craigs Investment Partners Cash Management Trust Limited was approved under the Retail Deposit Guarantee Scheme on 25 November 2008. The guarantee will, subject to its terms, cover all existing and new debt securities (including deposits) for the period from 12 October 2008 until 12 October 2010. Our ownership change does not alter the Government Retail Deposit Guarantee Scheme.

Craigs Investment Partners Investment Management Limited

Craigs Investment Partners Investment Management Limited (CIPIML), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Craigs Investment Partners, was formed in August 2007 to develop and manage the range of CIPIML Defined Portfolios.
